    The Healthy Indian Diet

I've been more and more interested in trying and making Indian food lately.  I make Mark Bittman's dal and even the neighbor kids like it.  But I don't know much about the cuisine and all of the recipes I've cooked actually come from old white guys (Bittman, and Andrew Weil.) Indian ...

Cameras for Kids: Best Gift

by Milehimama on December 2, 2009

in works for me wednesday

Digital cameras keep getting cheaper, and that’s a good thing because my kids LOVE to take pictures with mine.  I just know I’ll have to replace it soon!

A great gift for any child is a camera of their own.  Digital cameras are great for kids, because they get instant feedback and you don’t have to pay to develop 1600 pictures of the ceiling fan.  They work for all ages and both genders.

V-Tech has a durable one, with games, for under $40.

Little Tikes has a camera one for the preschool set, $39.99

And older kids would love a “grown up” camera.

Lasting family memories, inspiring creativity in kids, and a useful gift?  Works for Me!

My daughter has had the V-tech camera for almost 2 yrs and it has held up very well. Pictures are pretty grainy, but she loves the camera.
