I just emailed the schools my children attend to see if they are broadcasting the speech. I’ve heard that some schools are opting out.
I’m still waiting to hear back from my kids’ school. I was told I was not the only one wanting to know.
I recently started reading Orwell’s 1984. I got about 50 pages in and had to stop because of the indoctrination of children that goes on in the book. I’ll finish it at a later date (hopefully no more than 4 years from now). It’s just too close to real life at the moment.
I haven’t blogged about it, but this is just one more reason we’re going to homeschool.
