Soup is a budget’s best friend, and are so easy to make!  Everyone should know a couple of great soup recipes.  They’re easy to stretch for a crowd, can be a great way to use up leftovers, and are the original comfort food.

These recipes comply with my Real Food Manifesto, are dye free, MSG free, and also don’t use any canned goods (BPA free.)

Techniques, Tips and Trick

Make your own Cream of Chicken, Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Celery soup – no cans, no MSG.

Bean Soups and Chili

Lentil Soup 2 Ways – curried and vegetarian, or smoky and meaty

 3 Sisters Soup – pumpkin, corn, and bean chowder with a silky texture.

Minestrone Soup- classic Italian soup with beans and pasta. Crazy Cheap Cooking!

Classic American Beef Stew -not very photogenic, but tasty, hearty, and warming.
