CN’s is our neighbor, and his son is in Rob’s class.
There was an incident this morning at the bus stop with his wife.
It’s so hard living in this fallen world.
Anyway, I called the school, waiting for R’s teacher to call me back. And I’ll probably write an email, so that there is a written record. Poor kids, for a while they were trying to be friends. They live one house apart, and are in the same class at school.
UPDATE:
I did email the school and speak to the vice prinicipal. She is aware of issues between the boys, and has never seen bullying towards each other from either side.
AND
Neighbor’s wife came over, apologized for her behavior, and we talked. She invited R and myself over after school so her son and R can maybe mend fences. This is wonderful, because I have an inkling that they *could* be friends if their parents would just get out of their way. I removed this post in the interest of fresh starts and forgiveness.
Perhaps if a rant is too long to tweet, I should give it more time before venting on my blog. OTOH – my blog is my journal of our life.

You are a much better person that I…
I would have lost my mind if that cow said anything about Wee-One getting beat down… and as childish as it may seem, if anything were to ever happen to my child (ie, done by HER kid) I would wage a jihad on their entire family.
PS — and the taping the kids thing is just creepy as can be… Perhaps someone should sit in the street and video him to see if he likes it…
Grrr!

After the cops left, he told us he was going to install a surveillance camera to watch the street.
Really, he’s like Old Mr. Wilson from the Dennis the Menace comics. Except that he’s in his 30s.
Other alleged insults by Mr R (age 11). There was, OMG, a plastic hanger in his tree the day after Halloween, and someone keyed his car at some point in the past.
Come to think of it, a couple of my neighbors are fussy/weird. But most of them are nice and normal.
I’m sorry that happened to you and your son. Unfortunately those types of parents seem to be more of the norm now, I think. I agree that kids really absorb that type of behavior from their parents, and often do not know how to interact any other way. It’s sad…

Creepy neighbor’s son getting his ass kicked is called karma. What goes around comes around and now she deserves to ger her own ass kicked. I hate bullies.
As a PS to that- when my sonw as in regular school, before I started homeschooling him, he got picked on, bullied and even HIT by other kids. We have dealt with it first hand and I never really told my son to hit the kids back or defend himself b/c it always is the way, if he had defended himself, nobody would have seen a bo hitting him but they would have seen my son hitting back, and my son would be th one to get suspended. Dealing with bullies enrages me.

To be fair, from what I understand from veiled references this has been going on for some time, and you refrained from lashing out for quite a while…
I’ve had to remove many a rant myself – not for me but for the other person. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I hope fenced mend and friendship blooms

Since I didn’t read the first post, I really can’t comment on this.
However, it was nice that the gal apologized for whatever she did. You don’t often see that.
We never had huge problems with our neighbors, but we did have two of them that didn’t watch their children much. The rest of the neighborhood and I were always worried about the safety of their children!
I always tell my daughter that the best way to hit bullies back is to tell on them.
having been bullied as a child, with no one to stick up for me has turned me into a VERY ugly person to come up against when a child is bullying one of mine…first, the parent won’t know what hit them, and if they dont do something about it, i do. nuff’ said. it’s the most horrible thing for a child to fear going out or to school, i know it firsthand.
oh, and it’s funny..teachers, principals, etc. NEVER see the bullying, i MAKE them see it…
I hope the fresh start is a success!
