Saw the doctor Medicaid referred us to. She’s not a doctor, but a CNP. She did spend a good bit of time with me, didn’t get weirded out by the vaccine thing, and carefully explained all the options, her opinion, and let me make a choice (one vax this time, containing DTaP and polio.) She’s going to refer us to a neuro for Mr P with his headaches and cyst, but the referral is apparently quite a process so it might take a couple of days.
Also more fun urine samples from the baby. (BTW, the nurse put this on one upside down from the way the last nurse did it and taught me to do it. But it still works. I guess it must not really matter.)

Happy to report that Baby A’s blood pressure was a very normal 80/56!

We tried out a new babysitter and it seemed to go very well. That is, she didn’t flee screaming and agreed to come back next week so I can go to the orthodontist. Whee!

When I was going over the emergency numbers, etc. for the sitter, I put down my sister’s phone number as an emergency contact. Guess what? She knows my sister. They go to church together. Small world!

Oh, Debra Medina. I’m so very disappointed. I was planning to vote for you on March 2. Now I’m left with “well, he’s not as bad as Hutchison.” Which is not how I want to cast my vote. It’s not just her comments on Glenn Beck, but the poor way her staff is managing things and responding.
Really, Debra? There are good arguments for it?

Obama doesn’t think that the whereabouts of your cell phone are private. This from the people who criticized the Patriot Act? Tracking the whereabouts of a cell phone basically amounts to tracking people, in this day and age.

Look at this nifty guide I found (someone tweeted it, but I don’t remember who. If it was you, claim credit in the comments!). GMO Food Guide!
On the real food side of things, regular cheese often is made with rBst treated cows. What about foreign/imported cheeses? Is imported Swiss from Europe better than local rBst cheese? I need to find out which countries ban hormones in cows.

I’m glad to hear that things went well at the doctor’s appointment.
Do your kids get excited about having a sitter? I remember thinking of it as a special treat when I was a kid.
Yes, they love having a sitter. We haven’t had a babysitter (not a relative) in a few years so it is a total novelty for them.
I was very lucky to find a girl from my homeschool group to come. I’m hoping she can be a “regular” a couple times a month.
YEA! I am so glad to hear that things are going well on the doctor and health front!
Yay for finding a babysitter that works! I do not even have children and I already wonder about such things.
3. Hurrah for finding a babysitter that will work out.
6. That is because they want you to remember that “Government Knows Best” and they should always know where you are. In case, you know, they might want to get a hold of you. For your own good you know.
