Do you have a hard time keeping your kids in popsicles? The all-natural fruit ones are so expensive, but I don’t always have time to make my own. Also, my girls tend to drag off the popsicle mold to all corners of the house.
Here’s a quick tip: buy a bag of key limes (here in Houston, they go for as low as 20/$1) and halve or quarter them. Put them in the freezer and it’s a great, fruity cold fix. The sourness is refreshing if you’ve just come in from outside, and you can add them to water in place of ice cubes if you want, too.
All natural, easy, and cheap! For more kitchen tips, check out Tammy’s blog!

I can remember freezing bananas whole (w/o skin) and eating them (with a paper towel wrapped around the bottom) as popsicles when I was a little kid. Now I chop them up in smoothies.
Aww, it’s been so long since we’ve had key limes! I never see them in the stores here in WA… at least, not on sale or prominently displayed
I’m really craving some key lime cheesecake now!!
Using these frozen wedges in place of ice is a GREAT and fun idea!! Thanks for sharing!
That does sound like a tasty idea!
