1.

I wasn’t planning to post today, actually.  So, my other takes will be extremely brief answers to the question, “How’s your day going?”  Including some Tweets.  (Find me @Milehimama!)

Except, of course, brevity is not my strong suit.  So expect some rambling answers, too.

Who needs Project Runway when I spend my day draped in small children?

Skunks.  A family of them.  Under the shed.

4.

3yo just handed me a pocket knife. Then crossed her arms, pouted, and said “You never let me have fun”. Yeah. I’m so mean.

5.

We need to mow the lawn.  So husband went outside to protect the children from rabid skunks whilst they got all their junk out of the grass.  And set a brush fire to keep himself entertained.

Unfortunately, we turned off the AC due to cool weather and have all the windows open.  It smells like we’ve been camping in here, now.

6.

Son managed to wedge his door completely shut with a pair of crutches, from the outside.  The screws for the doorknob and hinges are inside his room.  Husband may have to find a ladder and climb through the window to get it open.

7.

Despite telling husband dear that the old company was expecting a huge contract in October and might need him back, it looks like the company is going out of business.  They had a second round of layoffs, got rid of office personnel, cut back to a 4 day workweek, and there’s another layoff coming next week.’

Husband had a job interview Wednesday, and the interviewer liked him – but had 10 more interviews throughout the week, all for guys that use to work at the old company.

It pays 20% less than his old position, but that’s still more than unemployment!
