Healthy Halloween? Isn’t that an oxymoron? Yet as parents we get tired of candy, candy, candy. What if you want to serve up some healthier options?
Maybe you want to pass out healthy halloween treats to the neighborhood kids. You feel a moral obligation to only serve real food to growing bodies.
Homemade healthy Halloween snacks usually are not an option. We live in a society that trusts individually plastic wrapped goodies more than homemade. We’re past the era of passing out homemade popcorn balls and caramel apples. For example, my son’s school requires that we send snacks in individual packages.
