Paper Pumpkin Poms are SO easy to make and even better, you can make a bunch of them for just $2.
Go to the dollar store and buy green pipe cleaners and orange napkins.
Why napkins? Because tissue paper is hard to work with, especially for kids.
Layer 3 napkins on top of each other, accordion fold them, then trim off the folded edges.
Pinch the folded napkins in the middle to make a bow shape. Wind the pipe cleaner around the middle , leaving a long “stem” at the top.
Trim off the top corners so your pumpkin has rounded shoulders. Pumpkins don’t have corners!
Open the layers of the napkin and fluff into a pumpkin shape.
I used 3 napkins, 2 ply. The 2 ply napkins were folded into quarters, which gave me a total of 24 layers. I found the pumpkins fluffed the best if I divided each half of the pumpkin into 3 stacked layers, divided those layers into stack 2 layers deep, then finally separated the two layers into individual papers. This seemed to work better and the pumpkin was more even than when I tried to separate one layer at a time.
Now it’s your turn! I’m going to have a new feature on the site:
Dollar Store DIY
On the 9th of every month I’ll host a linky for Dollar Store DIY.
Link up any projects you made with dollar store items – decor, recipes, crafts, seasonal, cleaning- whatever! The only requirement is that it be something you did yourself in the previous month, and post a link my Dollar Store DIY post on your site in the post you are linking up.
You can link up more than one post if it’s relevant, but please add a link to this post in each one of your posts you link up. No sponsored posts please.
Also, share the love. Visit at least one other project and comment, like, or share!
Leave me a comment if you like this link up!

I love comments. Tell me what you think!
