This is how I spend at least an hour each day. Baby J nurses then falls asleep. If I put her down, she instantly wakes up. She pretty much only naps if she’s snuggled up, safe and warm, with someone who loves her.
Spoiled? Yes. Yes, I am.
But when you get to child number 7, 8 and 9 – you realize that these are the times that matter. They really do go by so fast. Soon enough she will be outgrow her naps. Soon enough she will push Mama away to do things by herself. Soon enough she will be excited about her big girl bed, then taking books to bed, then staying up way too late reading those books. Then she’ll be going to be after her parents.
Soon enough.
So I will snuggle up with my unbearable sweet little girls, take a rest, and hold on to them for just a few more minutes.
