Kolaches are a Texas favorite. You can find them at almost every donut shop- basically dough wrapped around sausage or beef. Knishes are traditional Jewish pastries made with potatoes and sour cream.
This recipe combines the two into a hearty handheld meal. The dough couldn’t be simpler- simply mix sour cream or plain yogurt into pancake mix. The result is a rich, flaky dough that mixes up in less than 5 minutes. Recipe can be frozen and reheated in the microwave for after school snacks or crazy meal times!
This is part of the HEB Meal Maker Challenge, which means it’s 7 ingredients or less and cooks up in under 30 minutes! Now that’s my kind of recipe.
I’m competing so VOTE FOR ME! You do not need to be a Texas resident to vote, but if you are in Texas you will be entered to win $1000 HEB gift card!

Blogging with Integrity: I was provided with product and gift cards to facilitate this post. Also HEB sent me that awesome enameled green cast iron skillet you see in the pictures. And can I just say… LOVE that thing! Enameled cast iron is my new fave pan.
