Mom! I’m Bored!

Today is the Mom! I’m Bored edition of Works for Me Wednesday.disastrous-daring-rockwell

A friend used to say “Boredom is the sign of a bankrupt mind” – but that kind of went over my kids’ heads.

We don’t really have that problem, anyway.

Oh, I’m sure the kids get bored, they just don’t tell me about it.

Because if they are bored, that means they have time on their hands with nothing better to do.  As there’s always something to do around here,  I ‘m happy to help them a useful way to pass the time.

Like match all the socks.

Or clean the pantry floor (has to be wiped by hand, the mop doesn’t fit well in there.)

Or weed the garden.

Or remove the crayon scribbles from the wall.

My children are highly motivated to find their own entertainment.

Check out We Are THAT Family for more boredom busters!

(Or, you could always make your own MoonSand!)

  1. Hmmm… maybe this isn’t a great tip! Today’s entertainment: putting slumberbags over their heads and seeing who can stumble around the house without falling.

  3. Heh. My mum used to do that to me whenever I said I was bored.

More than 20 years later, I am still more than capable of making my own entertainment.
